August & Debouzy was founded in 1995. It is a full service business law firm with 19 partners and more than 120 lawyers. It advises private and publicly-listed companies as well the French State, the European Commission and French local government authorities. The firm has offices in Paris, Brussels and Casablanca.

August & Debouzy is organised to provide practical solutions as effectively and as quickly as possible for its clients. The firm is structured in five practice groups that reflect the principal legal concerns that arise in most corporations and public entities’ activities:

A Corporate Law practice group: mergers & acquisitions, private equity, securities law, financial law, structured financing, real estate, restructuring, bankruptcy, white collar crime.
A Tax Law practice group: tax optimisation of M&A, private equity and real estate transactions, national and international tax management, tax treatment of structured financing.
A Labour and Employment Law practice group: financial and corporate labour law, collective bargaining and workers’ representative institutions, employment law, criminal labour law.
A Regulatory, Public Procurement and Competition Law practice group: public con-tracts, PPP, PFI, regulatory law (particularly pharmaceutical and chemical products, encryption, tobacco and foodstuffs), export control law, environmental law, deregulation, product liability, anti-trust and competition law.
A Commercial and Intellectual Property Law practice group: commercial and industrial contracts, industrial property, e-commerce, IT and new technologies, media, distribution.

Litigation is dealt with by specialists in each practice group. We assign specific and fully dedicated teams of lawyers to each of our clients.
