This is not our vision. It is what we do.

August & Debouzy of France, GSK Stockmann & Kollegen in Germany, Nabarro in the United Kingdom, Nunziante Magrone in Italy and Rodés & Sala in Spain. Five full service firms. Between us, we have more than 850 lawyers based in 17 offices.

The aim of our alliance is to provide our clients with the best advice and service possible on cross-border work.  We want our clients to benefit from the long-term relationships that exist between us and each firm’s in-depth and specialised knowledge of its local laws and legal culture.  We do not share fees. Our only incentive in working together is to continue to improve our ability to provide our clients with the best quality of advice at local rates. 

We have practice groups across a range of disciplines and industries which are designed to ensure best practice in their areas, both on the legal and cultural issues that arise in cross border work and in project management.  We aim to provide a seamless service.  We have regular meetings to manage the alliance and attend each other’s partners’ conferences.  We hold an associates’ conference each year and this, together with regular secondments between the firms, broadens and deepens the personal relationships between us. These relationships play an integral part in delivering the levels of service that our clients expect.

Often, our work takes us outside our five countries. Where it does, the same philosophy applies.  We have pooled our knowledge of the markets to identify a small number of first-rate firms who share our ambitions and culture.  Our clients can benefit from our relationships with these firms in the same way that they can benefit from our relationships with each other.

Each law firm chooses its own way to undertake international work.  This is ours.  And our clients have been enthusiastic in their praise of the firms that we work with, whether within our alliance or outside it.
